Description
KAMAZ-6540 is one of the four-axle chassis most popular in Russia. Its employment with the КС-55717К-1 crane allows for meeting the axle weight limit requirements when travelling by public roads. The АК-32 crane series with a 31-m boom employs a ”К-shaped” support contour and a novel removable counterweight system. Counterweights of up to 3.2 tons can be carried on the non-rotary frame, and a 1.2-ton counterweight on the rotary frame, remaining within the axle weight limits. Chassis class: highway.
31-m ovoid boom
The КС-55717К-1 truck crane’s telescopic boom is manufactured on a fully automated production line under the true ovoid technology. Each boom half-box is formed by just two bends which make complete radius tracts, so the boom gains better resistance to local instability, provides high reliability and improved operating conditions for conjugated bearers.
To achieve the boom length of 31 m, four telescopic sections are used, which extend with the help of one hydraulic motor and conjugated rope luffings – that is a modern reliable concept, which allows to considerably improve the carrying capacity of the boom and to extend it by extra 30 cm. Besides, the aggregate so designed is convenient to operate and simple to maintain.
